GangnaStyle
The title of this post is the mindset of the Gangnam Style dance, said Psy when he was on Ellen.
...and such is what I'll be doing tonight for my bish, Elisa, at her dance club birthday celebration.
--------------    --------------
I'm super excited to get out and feel like a living, breathing, dancing human again.
This week has been non-stop, teacher-paperwork HELL.  (If you've seen my insta gram, then you might already know.  On Tuesday, I teacher-worked from 2:45am to 8:45pm.)

Needless to say, I'm ready for some {movement}...Gangnam Style. ;)

I'm also ready to bring you posts containing a finished |week 39| in my Project Life album, maybe some painted pumpkins, and scenes from tonight's birthday clubbin' extravaganza in the next few days!
ThankYouLoveYouBye!

right on the money...ball

I watched this movie last night and I was moved to say the least.

Moneyball
Press PLAY to listen to my heart.

song: The Show // artist: Kerris Dorsey

"I'm just a little bit caught in the middle

life is a maze, and love is a riddle

I don't know where to go, can't do it alone

I've tried, and I don't know why

Slow it down

Make it stop

or else my heart is going to pop

'cause it's too much

yeah, it's a lot

to be something I'm not

I'm a fool outta love

'cause I just can't get enough...

Yeah I'm just a little bit caught in the middle

life is a maze, and love is a riddle

I don't know where to go, can't do it alone

I've tried, and I don't know why

I'm just a little girl lost in the moment

I'm so scared, but I don't show it

I can't figure it out

it's bringing me down

I know

I've got to let it goooo...

...and just enjoy the show.

The sun is hot in the sky,

just like a giant spotlight

The people follow the signs

and synchronize in time

It's a joke nobody knows

they got a ticket to the show...

Yeah I'm just a little bit caught in the middle

life is a maze, and love is a riddle

I don't know where to go, can't do it alone

I've tried, and I don't know why

I'm just a little girl lost in the moment

I'm so scared, but I don't show it

I can't figure it out

it's bringing me down

I know I've got to let it goooo

and just enjoy the show -oh -oh -oh Oh.

just enjoy the show -oh -oh -oh Oh.

I'm just a little bit caught in the middle

life is a maze, and love is a riddle

I don't know where to go, can't do it alone

I've tried, and I don't know why

I'm just a little girl lost in the moment

I'm so scared, but I don't show it

I can't figure it out

it's bringing me down

I know I've got to let it goooo

and just enjoy the show

dum dee dum

dah dum dee dum

just enjoy the show

dah dum dee dum

dah dum dee dum

just enjoy the show

I want my money back

I want my money back

I want my money back

just enjoy the show

I want my money back

I want my money back

I want my money back

just enjoy the show."

a sound*track for New Years

It's eight songs long.

Collage 01

song: Good Feeling // artist: Flo Rida

I feel like this would be a good song to be track 01 on your New Years 2012 self-made album.  It's boogie-worthy while applying make-up in your mirror before New Year's Eve festivities.  Plus, I think is promotes having a positive outlook for 2012...and I'm all in support of that!

song: Something That I Want // artist: Grace Potter

A couple of months ago I watched Disney's Tangled, and LORDY! Can you get any cuter than that movie?  This song plays with the end credits and is upbeat and fun and talks about newness.  I think it's about following passion, wanting something you can feel in your soul that you want.  For me, this song is important with the coming new year because I thought I knew what my passion was, and now I'm all reevaluating it and crap.  Haa haa!

song: Have a Little Faith In Me // artist: John Hiatt

This song has always been a quiet favorite of mine.  It kind of brings home the notion of the previous song: not knowing what your soul wants, but having faith that the universe will take care of you.  If you're heading into your year with uncertainy, and maybe a little bit of fear, this is the track for you. :)

song: Wheel // artist: John Mayer

Slow and a bit sappy, like John Hiatt, but applicable to the change New Years brings.  This is probably my favorite John Mayer song, and contains some of the most beautiful lyrics: "...that's the way this wheel keeps workin' now..."  Things keep changing, sings John, and sometimes you're on the happy end of change, and sometimes you're on the sad end.  However, he sings, "...you can't love too much one part of it..." because the wheel of change, it keeps turning.

"I believe...that my life's gonna see...the love I give...returned to me."

song: Sexy and I Know It // artist: LMFAO

To change the pace up a little bit, I'd put this song as track number 5.  Entering a new year, you should be sexy and know/own it.  C'mon ya'll!  Grab your tight sequins number, squeeze your few extra holiday pounds into it and wiggle*wiggle*wiggle*yeah ... haa haa! Unless this song is completely played out in your mind, and in that case, skip it.  I totally understand. ;)

song: Fairytale of New York // artist: The Pogues, featuring Kristy MacColl

I. Became. Obsessed. With. This. Song. this past holiday season.  It has a Auld Lang Syne feel to it which makes it New Yearsy.  It talks of dreams, and past and present, and mentions New York City, and Sinatra, and drunks, and kissing on the corner, and the NYPD, and bells... Also, it has the most awesome line in it which rung in my ears as loudly as can be this Christmas: "...so Happy Christmas...I love you, baby...I can see a better time when all our dreams come true..."  ♥ ♥ ♥

song: Everbody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen) // artist: Baz Luhrmann

Remember this song?  Can it even be called a song?  Well, I've been listening to it lately.  It's kind of a laundry list of New Year's resolutions.  Some of my favorite lines: "...maybe you'll marry, maybe you won't...marry you'll have children, maybe you won't...maybe you'll divorce at 40; maybe you'll dance the funky chicken on your 75th wedding anniversary...whatever you do, don't congratulate yourself too much, or berate yourself either...your choices are half-chance. So are everybody else's."

song: Two Step // artist: Dave Matthews Band

I caught Dave performing this live on a T.V. show a couple of weeks ago, and after viewing the performance, it was an instant download.  Been hooked since.  For me, it's all about getting through the mundane days filled with things we wish we could change, but can't, together with someone who gets you through it, and you get through it together.  For the full lyrics, go here.

...and there you have it.

...a New Year's soundtrack.

Enjoy.
