One month ago, today, I turned 27.
Nothing much to say about it, really, except that it was casual, cute, and just enough for me, thank you.
Several days after turning the big 2-7, I set aside time on a gloriously sunny November Saturday morning to sit at our living-room coffee table and craft what you'd call a 'new-birthday-year' goal list.
I spotted the idea last year on this blog in this post and just ran with it! I made a list last November, and accomplished most of the major stuff on it like having my own classroom, getting an I-Phone, taking a blogging class (or two), etc.
Below, is this year's listy list. My *27*before*28*... taa daa!

Hmmm...so what do you think? Anything sound similar to what's on your year's goal list, written down or not?
...but you know, there's definitely something to writing it down.
I must say, write. it. down.
Take a look at #21, for example. First steps to "my own place". Well, the day after writing this down, the boyf and I were walking in his neighborhood when we saw an "Open House" advertisement for an apartment in his building. We walked in, just to peek, and it was the most gorgeous start-up space I'd ever seen. As I walked through, I thought, Could this possibly become ours? Then, I remembered this list, and how I had just written down what I was experiencing the previous morning. It was something else.
Words give things power, and I feel that writing them down sets your passion in motion.
Exhibit B: this*blog. #10
