Last year I participated in Amy + Kam's 30 Days of List challenge for both the months of March and September. Above, you can see the books I created to complete the challenge for each month.
For March of last year (my first time listing), I created a digital template for each list, and just switched up the colors and list titles as the month went on. I printed out each digital list and added a different washi tape accent each day. See March 2013's book here.
For September of last year, I designed pages ahead of time to be constructed into a blurb photo book. It was a lot of fun to see the book professionally bounded when it arrived, and all I had to do each day was come up with a creative way to write/type each list. See September 2013's book here.
For next month's 30 Days of Lists, I decided to construct my own book with some of my accumulated paper-hoard in an attempt to 'use what I got' and de-stash a bit.
I discovered a Heidi Swapp wood veneer front and back cover left over from an old project, and I thought the 41/2 x 8 inch size was perfect for this listing project.
I trimmed all my papers down to the same dimensions for uniformity. I then spent quite a bit of time pairing the patterns to make 30 decently-coordinated spreads (one spread for each list).
...and with the theme of 'de-stashing' in mind, I went through all my embellishment draws looking for things that would compliment my book and my patterns. I stumbled upon my set of 3x4 SMASH pads from two years ago, and cut those up:
They are totally great for listing! I incorporated some where I thought appropriate. Below is the end result of two mornings worth of construction, and now I feel ready to go come March 1st.
Come back Saturday for a peek inside this little listing book (no list spoilers; they will all be blurred out). You'll get to see the front and back cover designs, papers I paired, the labels I made for each list (again, no spoilers), and how I set up space for journalling each day. See ya then! ♥
