Hiiii, readers and peepers and lovely pies! I cannot believe that it is day 18 of Amy and Kam's 30 Days of Lists challenge and we are already more than half-way through. FREAKY! Above has been my lists 7 to 14.
Remember my approach this time around? It's been working out quite nicely. I shall be posting the previous week's set of lists and talking a little bit about how nicely it's actually been working out once the weekend hits.
Even though you might have seen my lists on the 30 Days of Lists flickr page or on instagram, each Saturday (well, Wednesday in this case because of my weekend in Texas and travelling and bad wi-fi) is where you'll see them all in one place and where I'll talk a little more in depth about my technique and the process.
This week, I bring you most of the supplies I've been using:
The only thing not pictured is my typewriter, which I've used on a couple of lists already. But let's see if you can guess which of the supplies above was used to create the lists below. ;)
Here it goes...
List #7
List 7 was one of those lists whose prompt called for the creation of the list that day. "Today I saw..." is not a list you can fill out beforehand. So...I took my long and skinny notepad along with me on my day and jotted down what I saw, then I rewrote the list the next morning and stapled it to the page.
List #8
For List 8, I changed the prompt a bit. Instead of listing 'Childhood Chores' of which I couldn't think of much, I listed 'Childhood Games' I used to play because of those were many. Above were the some of the key ones. ;)
It only made sense to write them in some of the brick spaces.
List #9
Reading back List 9 makes me cry again. September 9th was the kids' first day back to school here in NY, and the thought of them going back, and my not being there made me cry.
Others on the list are givens -- like animal cruelty (I absolutely despise), and chopping onions, and oh goodness! that final scene at te end of 'Ghost'... :'{
List #10
When something doesn't come to me right away with a list prompt (like it did with this prompt) I write the first few things that come to my mind. I should have added my HP Photosmart printer that Tomas gifed me for Christmas 2012 because I use it to print all my Project Life photos and it has been my saving grace. I forgot, though.
I originally designed this list with boxes under the words 'given' and 'received' to hand-write the lists on, but I like that they became background shadows for the typed up squares of note paper.
List #11
List 11 is my favorite list in my book so far. I changed the prompt from 'Things My Family Taught Me' to 'Things My Grandma Taught Me' and the jots started flowing. I was getting on a plane that evening for Texas, so #1 on the list rang true.
Also that morning, I spilled my entire cup of coffee on my cat, proving #4, then #3. ;)
I orginally hand wrote the list in the line spaces I provided, but didn't like how they came out. I decided to print the jots and paper-cut them to fit the page and cover the original handwriting. Love how it came out.
List #12
List 12 printed. Made it easy. I used a Black SMASH Stick. The end. :)
List #13
Ahhhh...List 13...
...created using my new pebbles roller stamp from the September Studio Calico Project Life kit.
It was a welcomed challenge to fit the words on to the 12 columns available for letters and spaces. If you notice, 'PERFECTIONISM' is missing a letter...but you know: the most fun part of a scrap tool like this roller stamp is the manipulation of the rubber letter pads and physical ink-dipping and stamping. Who CARES how it actually comes out?! ;)
*I love this tool.
List #14
List 14 - Weekend Essentials was fun to write. I love anything that makes you profess what's wonderful about something wonderful...Let me count the ways...
