As promised, here is the sneak peek of my 30 Days of Lists book for March 2014 (no spoilers). The front and back cover were made by slicing thin strips of patterned paper used for the inside pages. The intro page of the book is made up of a glued speech bubble I cut out of an old SMASHbook that talks about being intimidated by the first page. I ♥ it!
I made each left and right page spread following the intro page dedicated to one list prompt, so there are 30 spreads in all. There's plenty of room on each spread for a list and a photo, if I so choose, but maybe some days there will be photos, and maybe some days there won't.
My favorite part of the above pages are the labels I created for each list prompt. I like knowing in advance the prompts. I'm even a bit of a rebel and completely change some.
I take a look at my calendar for the listing month, and if there are events that are surely scheduled, I change my list prompts to coordinate. For me, this creates more buzz around the prompt and excitement & ease to fill 'em out. I'd say I stick to 80% of the original prompts, and change up the rest to better suit my month or my mood or whatever. I tend to not fill them until the actual day, though.
The last page of the book, mirroring the intro, is another bubble cut from an odl SMASHbook saying 'goodbye' and 'come back'. Informal. Adorable. Just right for me. ♥ One week and counting.
