This past Monday, December 16th, was my 4-year blogiversary.
Ah, blogging. It's the art of our generation, you know.
Photography, writing, crafting, digital designing, communicating with others who do the same, learning, sharing, constantly challenging myself, being afraid and doing it anyway, aspiring to, dreaming up, imagining, trying and failing, trying and succeeding, laughing, crying...being. All that is blogging to me. All that is worth sitting in front of a computer and recording in way that causes others to read it and relate -- that is the art of blogging.
I so enjoy the art of blogging, and sharing in this art with so many talented others. We are each unique individuals in this unique group who find it necessary to record. It's utterly fabulous. All different voices. All different points of view. All different focuses, but all the same in this unified passion: to live & make art of it. The "art" of the blog post.
These last four years of blogging and finding my creative calling and pursing passions have taught me this:
When you do something often, you get better. When you start getting better at what you do often, people start to notice. When people start to notice, you start to gain confidence, and with confidence comes freed up space in your mind that used to be made up with self-doubt and confusion. Within that newy freed up space comes inspiration and creativity and drawing on those things makes YOU BECOME BETTER.
I believe in this cycle. I believe in myself. I believe blogging and I will have a healthy, wonderful relationship for as long as there's internet and my fingers can type. I thank you for reading, for visiting...for taking a moment to sit with me. We're all in this together, and blogging helps.
I'm excited to see where the new year brings my blog and I.
Here's hoping for someplace wonderful.
Have a great day!
