The above photo was taken at the beginning of July, and
included in the |week 27| spread of my Project Life album.
The two pictures below were taken just this morning.
I have only a few precious days left with what I call 'my Summer office'. Most summer mornings - as the sun was just starting to rise and before anyone in my near vicinity was awake - I'd leash up my kitties and head out with them to my backyard, laptop in hand. I'd then return to the house to grab my planner, pens, and almost always a cup of coffee.
Mornings spent here writing, designing, checking stamp orders, editing photos, responding to e-mails, sending e-mails, brainstorming, planning, organizing, and the like are invaluable to me. Being able to have the sun beat on my back and the breeze blow through my hair during all these creative processes is something I've recognized I need to be my most creative self (along with the early and private wake up call, and that one cup of caffeinated motivation). It might look like lazy Internet escapism, but it's not. I. AM. WORKING. This work might not pay me (hopefully someday it does), but I'm learning how to create (for me) the most effecient working conditions for productivity.
With design school less than three weeks away, my time spent here this summer is coming to a close. However, the dreams I've dreamed and the goals I've conjured up the past couple of months in this space only leave me feeling open. Open, and ready.
That's all I got for today.
Love yous!
