...was dirty, but when your friend of 24 years (pictured in the middle) who's now more like your cousin, is on the weight-loss journey of her life, and asks you, her athletic cousin-friend to complete a muddy 5K filled with obstacles, You. Say. Yes.
So we did, this past Saturday. It was dirty, but we stayed pretty clean until the last five minutes of the race where you see us crawling in mud...
Good friends are the on the sidelines with a towel, ready to wipe you off.
LiFE-LONG friends are right there next to you, knee & elbow deep in mud.
Truth.
Blasted with a hose was the 'rinse off'.
Initially, I was hesitant to agree to go to this because I knew it was my first weekend of the school year, and I'd be swamped with all kinds of things, but I would have missed out.
It's good to be prepared, yes, but I sooo would have missed out.
Sunday's teacher-work was CRAH-AZY, but because of Saturday,
I felt sane enough to handle it. I'm realizing that maybe
this year -- more breaks, less CRAH-AZY.
Mud Run.
Holy dirty!
Happy Tuesday.
