[this bubble from HERE]
The other day I posted about hanging shelves and setting new storage spaces up for organization. Well...this is the follow-up post, and there are PLENTY of Before&Afters. :)
^^ above ^^ is immediately what you see when you walk in. It's my main work space for anything crafty. I de-cluttered: took inspiration pics off the air-conditioner and just left THiS one, and gave everything a place. A place, not a pile. I realize this is the difference between being organized (places for everything) and being neat (piles for everything).
Whoa.
Yeah.
This is what's behind the craftroom door -- what you cannot see upon entering. That shelf structure is extremely functional, but I have trouble with it just looking like a bunch of stuff on shelves...and then I hang things from it's prongs...
...well, I think the after came alright. I cleared out that corner, got rid of unnecessary shhh...stuff, and hung the calendar. ;) Most importantly, I gave the little guy a whole fresh area to himself:
This 'loft' spot^^ is very important, and it does a decent job of luring him off of my craft projects (although most of the time he's laying and shedding on 'em anyway).
Now ^^above^^ has to be the biggest change of all. If you remember, that wall just used to be pink. Plain and pink...see HERE. I added the shelves and storage underneath (from IKEA); the hanging wire DIGNITET (from IKEA) for my alphas & stamps, and the black&white 13x13 cubes on the floor with removable shelves (from Target...and perfect for paper storage).
LOTS of wonderful organization happening on this wall.
I guess I can't use it for a pink-backdropped photoshoot anymore.
I've got a thing for mason jars.
I completely adore them (ever since this silly gift project).
Thanks for stopping in and seeing where I create. One day, I imagine creating in a craftroom where sunlight floods & pours in, but for my first designated craft-space EVER, I think this one's pretty stupendous. I'm lucky to have it.
Have a happy Thurzzzz!

Join me tomorrow for the doors of AMANDA ROSE STAMP SHOP to open open open!
I received such wonderful and lovely feedback from crafty IG ladies wanting & waiting for tomorrow's reveal. I'm just as excited/anxious as you. (I hope I'll be able to sleep tonight.)
