Right away, I'd like to mention that I had glare issues with these photos. It was the time of day I had snapped these...used too much direct, artificial light. Boo.
Anyway...week 11 was back-to-back stress at work. Parent-Teacher Conferences, an observation of a lesson, a student report write up and Friday parent meeting. The weekend was lovely and much deserved.
See my post on the above teach-o'fits here.
A lot of greens and blues in |week 11|'s spread.
A 'Walking Dead' insert:
Thoughts on my favorite character being killed off here.
Right side of the spread is all weekend happenings.
Friday night's arrival, our dinner date to a Filipino restaurant...mmmm...laing...and our St. Patrick's day bike ride and dinner. Lovely Friday-Saturday.
Love that 'Hello' stamp...the weeds sprouted to welcome spring.
Some new things learned/tried in this week's spread:
- SMASH pens write wonderfully well on photos. I discovered this and could not stop doing it.
- The 3D effect on my lime green title cards (first photo in this post) had been a recent favorite trick of mine. It's not brain surgery, but I'll post how I do it anyway. It gives an awesome subtle shadow effect on the card insert.
- I caved and returned to Staples and bought more Martha Stewart Avery labels. OMG. I didn't want to, but they are beautiful. Dangit!
- The Shane 'Walking Dead' insert was a full Project Life page protector cut.
- Lots of photos this week. Some weeks are chock-full of photos. Other weeks contain no images of what outwardly went on in my week, but art-journally images of what went on inwardly. Bottom line, I think: each week's spread ends up looking not how I want it to look, but how I NEED it to look to be clear to me. I like that.
Alright, ghost-writers...I gotta go get on with my Thurs. I truly and honestly don't know what I'm going to teach my students today, but then again, I feel like I never do.
Is it June yet?
Okay! Thanks for letting me share. I'll smell ya later! ;)
