"...lets give a cheer,
And celebrate,
Spring is here again!"
. . .
...and if you know me, then you know I celebrate by making flower clips to spring-up all my blah winter-spring transition outfits, or to wear in my hair and pretend I'm a princess. ;) See evidence of this from last year.
Below is what you'll need:
Two things not picture above is a glue gun and small alligator clips.
Step 1: Use the cup to trace a circle in your felt with a pencil. Cut out the circle.
You'll have what you see above. The flower was simply plucked off the stem, now ready to become a clip.
Step 2: Fold the felt circle in half and use your scissors to make a slit in the felt.
Step 3: Insert what's left of the stem into the slit.
Step 4: Hot glue the hell out if it. I'm going to learn how to sew (first sewing class at the end of this month) and maybe then this step will sound more thought out, elegant, and advanced. Maybe next spring. ;) For now, I hot glue the hell outta things.
Step 5: Another felt circle is hot glued to the bottom to close and secure the previous hot-glued mess.
Step 6: Hot glue a small, open-and-close alligator clip to the bottom, allow to dry, and wah-lah!
I shall be sportin' them to work today to up my mood, to celebrate the first day of Spring 2012, and to be able to say "Oh, I made them," to complementary co-workers.
That's all the fun I have for you this morning, kiddos!
Adios!
xOxO,
P.S. -- Loved crafting in my backyard this past weekend in the sun.
This is going to be great Summer.
