Oh, hello!
Welcome to |week 40| of my *Project Life* album.
There are few things I'd like to say about it:
First off, I started it and finished it this very morning. Usually, it takes me a day to choose and edit a week's photos, another day to print them, and then a span of 2-to-3 days to embellish them. I think the whole three-hour journey of this spread is a testament to how each week I get better and better at this craft called life-art. I am truly becoming a great life-artist, and I don't care if nobody else thinks that but me. I'm gettin' really good. :P
Secondly, I think I'm a craft-chameleon. I don't know if I have a style. I've said this before -- but I'll say it again because I wonder how it is for you readers -- I let the 'look' of every week choose me. I don't choose the look. This morning, I walked in my craftroom, spotted the label maker in a semi-transparent drawer, and thought, "Eh, I'll use that today." It soon become the theme of the spread.
I don't get how any of it happens, but I'm always thankful when it does. Each week looks so different from every week before it, but the week becomes what it has to, not what I want it to.
Hmmm...
...anyway...here's the left side:
I used a lot of stamps from MY SHOP this week.
It was a pleasent surprise when I discovered the black label words fit perrrrfectly in the >blank< part of the I'm a ___ MACHINE stamp. I shall be doing that more often. ;)
Live in your strength. <--upper right hand corner Yogi tea quote
sequins & washi // 'my Bitty.' stamp
butterfly in Fall // just love |week 40|'s title card ...paper from StudioCalico's Central High kit
new Lotta From Stockholm clogs ... many a [ shoe shot ] in |Week 40|'s spread
I also made discovery that my [I ate this.] Yum. stamp could be stamped on a photo of your dining-companion as long as you scribble a cute 'with' on top of it. How adorable, no?
Teacher-problems usually make their way onto an insert or two. Sorry 'bout that. However, being forced to journal this week via black label...I was unable to lament. Instead, it became a cute, to-the-point graphic embellishment.
Really is crazy, though.
