Hi, readers and peepers!
To start this PL post, I want to mention that Summer Project Life-ing has been so different from January-through-May Project Life-ing. I've had such open free time to take photos, that once Sunday comes and I need to decide what goes in a spread, I often have to fit one week in two spreads because every single insert can be a photo. Back in February, I would be lucky to have 3-5 photos of the week I wanted to use in the spread. The rest were inspiration pics, scrapped inserts, journal cards, quotes etc.
My Summer Project Life-ing approach since |week 26| has really just been fill inserts with summer photos, then add stamps. That's it. No big mystery. It's been nice.
first half of our East Coast Road Trip is captured on this page
Okay. Let's hit the PAUSE button and talk about this chevron divider a bit, shall we?
I used it as a souvenir's catcher of the paper-things I collected from our road trip: DQ cone wrapper, a napkin from Savannah's burger joint, the reciept from my first ever visit to Hobby Lobby...
...it was inspired by Elise's recent painted divider. When I saw it on her blog, it reminded me of this clear coral chevron screen print from Hambly that I had, and when I sliced it to size and put it in the album, I realized it was the perfect thing to tack these extras on.
The wine-tasting adventure had its own page on the other side of the chevron:
On back of the wine-tasting page was the Cousins' Day Photo-Bomb page:
Opposite the Cousins' Day page is my #PhotoADayJuly 2x2 boxes page:
Another divider (this time a clear hearts screen print) explaining the photo-bombing shenanigans of Cousins' Day:
After the #PhotoADayJuly page, came the remainder of the road trip, my currentlies stamp for the end of July, and the bottom two photo-inserts: returning home.
Wow whee, right? Holy smokes! Lots went on in my |week 30 | week 31| world.
My dear July.
So sad to say goodbye.
I have less than four weeks until school starts again and my summer is ripped away from me, and teacher-madness takes a toll on my physical, mental, emotional, and crafting self. Until then, I'm trying to spend as much time soaking up summer, relaxing, breathing easy, accumulating craft/photo projects...but in truth, it's down to the wire. I have to start getting my mind back into teacher-mode. I think this will be reflected in the next couple of PL weeks.
We shall see.
